The tendency to outsource some functions and to use cloud computing is increasing and is actually being forced by software providers. Along with the main types of cloud computing: private clouds, public clouds, hybrid clouds and multi-clouds, there are three main types of cloud services: IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), PaaS (Platforms-as-a-Service) and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). Selecting a cloud model or cloud service is an individual decision. It is important to bear in mind that bookkeeping and retention duties remain with the company outsourcing these processes and they cannot be delegated. The client has the duty to ensure the appropriateness and effectiveness of the internal control system related to the service the service provider is selling. For foreign service providers or shared service centres, the country-specific legal requirements of the client in Germany remain valid despite outsourcing abroad.
We keep watch on the legal requirements and on how agreements are designed in order to ensure the necessary security for the entire process.

We offer services for certifying service providers in accordance with IDW AuS 951 or ISAE 3402 in the area of Certifications.
